One of our notable achievements at Simply Fresh is the development of 135 crop variants tailored for hydroponic cultivation. Through meticulous research and genetic optimization, we have successfully cultivated a vast array of fruits, vegetables, herbs, and nutraceutical plants, enriching the global food basket with high-quality, nutritious produce.

The operational efficiency of our hydroponic farm at Simply Fresh is highlighted by our daily packaged output of 25 tonnes. This remarkable yield showcases the precision farming techniques we employ, optimizing every aspect of the plant growth environment. We are proud to be certified by GAP, ensuring our produce meets stringent international agricultural practices. Compliance with FSSAI regulations guarantees food safety and quality in India, while BRCGS Food Safety certification reflects our rigorous food safety protocols. Our APEDA accreditation supports high-quality export activities, and ISO 22000:2018 demonstrates our comprehensive food safety management system. We implement HACCP to ensure systematic preventive measures, adhere to GMP for consistent quality, and hold Kosher and Halal certifications, meeting diverse dietary requirements. Conserving Water Resources

A cornerstone of our sustainability achievements at Simply Fresh is the conservation of 500 million liters of water, highlighting the efficiency of hydroponic farming. By using less than 10% of the water required in traditional agriculture, we address the critical issue of water scarcity and set a precedent for resource conservation in the agricultural industry.

Eliminating Pesticide Use

Our AI based, R&D driven hydroponic farming approach has allowed Simply Fresh to eliminate the use of 3,400 tonnes of pesticides, significantly reducing environmental and health risks associated with chemical inputs. This achievement aligns with global efforts to promote safer, more sustainable food production practices.

Enhancing Land Productivity

Another remarkable accomplishment at Simply Fresh is our ability to quintuple output from the same land area compared to conventional farming. This incredible efficiency maximizes land use, allowing us to produce significantly more food on a smaller footprint. By achieving higher yields from the same land, we reduce the need to convert additional land for agricultural purposes, which helps preserve natural ecosystems.

Do you Know the Impact of Compromised Food Integrity?

The extensive use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers in conventional farming practices has raised significant concerns over soil degradation, water contamination, and the bio-accumulation of hazardous substances within the food chain.

The current food industry scenario, dominated by large-scale production practices, has increasingly led to the compromise of food quality and environmental sustainability. 

Compromised food integrity often results in the presence of harmful substances, such as chemical residues from pesticides, as well as various additives and preservatives used in processing. These contaminants can pose significant health risks. Long-term exposure to these harmful substances has been linked to more severe health conditions, including an increased risk of cancer due to carcinogenic compounds. These issues underscore the critical need for maintaining food integrity to ensure the safety and well-being of consumers.

Large-scale traditional and commercial farming profoundly impacts the environment, causing deforestation, habitat loss, and reduced biodiversity. It significantly contributes to greenhouse gas emissions, worsening climate change. Intensive farming leads to soil erosion, fertility loss, and water depletion, while runoff from fertilizers and pesticides pollutes water bodies and harms aquatic life. The decline of pollinators due to pesticide use and habitat destruction also threatens crop reproduction and food security.

Continuous cropping and inadequate soil management practices can deplete essential soil nutrients, reducing the nutrient content of the crops. The use of chemical pesticides can impact the nutrient uptake of plants and potentially leave harmful residues on produce. Variations in water quality and availability can affect crop health and nutrient absorption, with contaminated or insufficient water supply hindering plant growth. Environmental stressors such as weather changes and inconsistent growing conditions can further impact the nutritional content of traditionally farmed crops.
